Ms. Faiza's RIS Grade 5 class raised 16,000
baht from their Christmas Candygram sale thanks
to the brilliant salesmanship and tireless work
of the students, and generous sponsorship of
the parents. While most other classes prepared
for parties or enjoyed special activities on
the last school day before Christmas Holiday,
the Grade 5 Candygram kids drew cards. The cards
were for three communities in Ayutthaya who
are recipients of the entire proceeds from their
Candygram sale: Wat Baan Pan, Wat Koh Yai, and
Wat Jao Jed each with 150-200 households who
rely on donations to make ends meet.
Because of these students' generous actions,
each community will receive 5,000 baht in cash
to buy basic personal care and household use
items. What a wonderful gesture of love and
kindness to celebrate Christmas!
There's more to this story. From extras that
were collected as part of the school-wide Tak
Community Service project, each of these communities
will also receive 4 boxes of used clothing and
other items. To top it off, every single household
(a total of 550) will receive a blanket donated
by Beer Chang through RIS parent Khun Wannapa
Srisomburananont, just in time for the cold
weather. Ruamrudee is fortunate to be blessed
with such kind and loving people. Hundreds of
families feel happier, warmer, and more loved
this Christmas thanks to you.
May Christmas and the New Year be very special
and blessed for our entire Ruamrudee family.
