RIS is celebrating our Jubilee Year in 2007.
To commemorate our 50th anniversary, amongst
many other activities, the school is proud to
present an all-school RIS & RIST drama production
– The Wizard of Oz. This is the first time in
our 50 year history that we have produced an
all-school musical and we have chosen one which
will delight all audiences. Over 175 students
are involved in this production.
Synopsis: The Wizard of Oz is about a Kansas
farm girl named Dorothy who gets caught in a
tornado and is transported to a magical land
of Munchkins where she meets all sorts of strange
and wonderful creatures including a Scarecrow,
a Tin Man, a Cowardly Lion, and a Wicked Witch.
Their quest to find what they think they lack
takes them to the fabulous Land of Oz. There
they meet the Wizard, who teaches them that
they have always possessed everything they need.
