PRAYERS FOR DIANNE

The RIS/RIST family wishes to express deepest sympathies to Mr. Neil Walton, his children, and other loved ones of Dianne Walton. Dianne passed into Eternal Life on July 10, 2007, after long months of struggle with cancer problems.

We ask that Dianne be remembered in prayer. During the month of August we will have a Mass-Memorial Service celebrated in St. Thomas Church, expressing our love for this wonderful woman. School members will assist in preparing a devout ceremony in tribute to our dear teacher. At that time this Website will be expanded with thoughts offered by her friends in an effort to show our sincere respect for Dianne and to show true fellowship with Neil.

We begin the school year with this sadness in our heart. God bless you, Dianne. May God take good care of you forever.
Father Travis - School Chaplain

One teacher has already contacted me with special words of honor for Dianne. I would like to quote them here.

"Dianne Walton was such a great person, honest, trustworthy, generous and the list goes on. She loved and respected all cultures and all people no matter what there class, rank or status, she always treated everyone fairly. Dianne loved Thailand and RIS so much as she devoted 15 years of her short life to the school shaping the minds of the future."

Submitted by an RIS Teacher:
From a section of a CK Williams poem, called STILL

And we know too weel
by now there’ll never
be anything like
a persuasive
reconciliation
for your having gone.

What there is instead
is knowing that at least
we had you for a time,
and that we still have
evidence of you, in
your work and in the love

which eternally
informs the work, that
one love which never ends.

For Dianne
