Dear Members of the RIS - RIST
Family,
Friday morning, January 18th, Father Peter
Pattarapong C.Ss.R. addressed the school assembly
for the first time. Father has now come to be
the new RIS Head of School. We welcome him with
our prayers and cooperation.
In his message he said that he comes as a learner,
learning from all of us at the school. Father
mentioned that in his previous assignment he
made all the decisions. He has already seen
at our school that he must listen to others,
listening to secretaries and others who need
him to go here and go there!!
Father mentioned that he is familiar with our
school. As a seminarian he worked with Father
Griffith for a time at the old campus. He is
happy to be back with us at RIS - RIST. He looks
forward to meeting all of us personally.

Father Pattarapong was a missionary with
the Karen mountain people for a time. He
adjusted well to that assignment, studying
their language and traveling to their mountain-top
villages. Father is strong and active!!
He also has experience with youth and administration.
These last few years he was the director
of our seminary in Sriracha, caring for
the needs and studies of the young men under
his care. |
Father looks forward to adjusting to his new
assignment as head of school. He asks for our
prayers and cooperation to make this transition
beneficial for the whole RIS - RIST Family.

We welcome Father Peter Pattarapong, C.Ss.R.
We are also very grateful that Father Wirach
will stay with us to assist during this period
of transition. Father will help with recruitment
of new teachers and also the student admission.
He moves on to his new assignment on March 31,
2008. Our appreciation of Father Wirach's constant
care for us as Head of School is deep and sincere.
In the weeks ahead we will have more opportunities
to show our gratitude. Today, while welcoming
Father Pattarapong, we include this short word
to say "Thank you, Father Wirach!!!!"
Father Leo Travis, C.Ss.R.
