RIS is pleased to welcome seven
representatives of the Western Association of
Schools and Colleges (WASC) and one representative
from the Thai Office for National Education
Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA), who
will spend 4 days visiting RIS as part of new
joint accreditation process. The WASC representatives
come from international schools in Korea, the
Philippines, China, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
The Thai representative comes from the Office
for Private Education Commission (OPEC).
While on campus, the visiting team will observe
classes and talk with teachers, students, staff
and parents. They will review the 137-page RIS
Self-Study Report, and assess the school’s quality
according to the WASC Criteria and the ONESQA
Sor Mor Sor Standards. At the conclusion of
their visit they will deliver an oral report
to the entire school community, and make a recommendation
to WASC and ONESQA concerning the next term
of accreditation.
The visiting team report is open to all interested
members of the RIS community. Please join us
in the PAC at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3.
