School Quarterly Newsletter Guidelines
Effective August 2007
Section Guidelines: ES, MS,
HS, RIST
In an effort to have our quarterly School Newsletter
be more a celebration of events in each section and
to increase focus on student created work, we are
providing each section with the following guidelines:
| • |
Every section (including RIST) will be allowed
4 pages in each edition of the newsletter |
| • |
Each article (page) submitted should have 250
or fewer words and include 4-6 pictures of the
activity |
| • |
All submissions should be carefully scrutinized
for content and thoroughly proofread |
| • |
Section Heads can appoint a responsible person
to oversee the process |
| • |
Deadlines must be strictly followed to allow
ample time for layout and printing |
| • |
School Development will continue to do layout
and provide articles of interest to the community
at large |
| • |
Please route all submissions to Deborah
Yogachandra, AD105 ( ext. 363 ) |
Your cooperation will ensure a continued, high quality
publication that highlights activities across all
levels of the schools and accurately reflects our
students’ accomplishments.
Activities: Sports, Performing
Arts, Fine Arts, EDP, and Others
A section will be reserved in each
newsletter to feature recently completed or upcoming
activities. We request that you refer to the above
guidelines for each submission.
Community at Large: PD, Pupil Services,
Parent Auxiliary and Others
A section will be reserved in each newsletter for
community related and professional submissions. We
realize that these submissions may be more text dependent
than photographic and therefore, request that you
limit them to no more than 500 words if possible.
