Dear Members and Friends of RIS,
| Christmas is always a happy time of the year for most of the world. We celebrate the Birth
of Christ and welcome his Doctrine of Peace on Earth and Love for everyone. It is easy for
members of the RIS Family to appreciate this day, for we have been dedicated to one of the
main themes of Jesus - Union of Hearts through Caring. We rejoice with you as you renew this
pledge of love for one another. My prayer for you in this Message is that you have a very
Happy and Blessed Christmas. |

Here at Ruamrudee we are going to have several opportunities to celebrate during this
Christmas Holiday. One day before we leave for Christmas Break we will bless some of the new
construction at RIS. We have invited Father Philip Banchong, the Major Superior of the
Redemptorists in Thailand, to bless the new Intensive English classrooms on December 20th at
8:00 AM. We will be able to use the new church facility as a Concert Hall for the day, with
our students leading us in music, song and Christmas pageants. It is expected to be a
wonderful day, appreciating our new facilities and enjoying the talents of so many of our
students. You are all welcome to join us from 8:00 AM
through many of the hours of school that day. Just before school will open again we will
have a solemn ceremony of Blessing the New Church of Ruamrudee International School. We have
invited His Excellency, Cardinal Archbishop Michael Meechai to bless our new church. The new
church is named Saint Thomas Church, dedicated to give honor to the patron saint of our
founder at Minburi, Father Tom Griffith. This religious blessing will begin at 10:00 AM on
January 5, 2002. The ceremony will be in Thai. We welcome especially our Catholic members -
but all of you are very welcome to attend this special ceremony at RIS. We hope that this new
church will stand as a symbol for everyone that RIS is pledged to respect the Values of
morality among all peoples.
May God bless each of you with a very Merry Christmas and a true renewal of caring in a
Happy New Year !!
