The Cultural Show
The MS Cultural Show was on Thursday, Nov.1st, 2001. This show was the most exciting event of the year. Performances were from a variety of countries such as: France, Spain, India, America, Burma & of course Thailand. We enjoyed pop songs, folk songs, instrument performance, dancing, singing, & talking all the way along. Lots of parents seemed to enjoy the show as well. The songs were arranged in a very comfortable order for the audiences to watch. Lots of people clapped, screamed, and cheered for the performers. Rehearsal was on Wednesday, October 31st, 2001. Students had to sacrifice their class time to go for practice. Thanks to Aditiya & Lynn for announcing the show for us.
Students especially liked the Rain Dance performed by our teachers & everyone was screaming their heads off.
The Cultural Week
The Cultural Week started kicking on October 15th to the 18th with all the sections participating. On the first day there was an opening ceremony with the elementary students reading poems on the theme of the cultural week “Circle of Friends.” Students also wore clothes from Asian nationalities. On the second day, European and western costumes were worn. The third day everybody wore clothes from their nationalities. The last day was the Thai day, the day everybody was told to wear Thai costumes. At the same day there was an international food sale organized by the P.A. There were Thai, Indian, Western, and many other kinds of foods brought in by parents and volunteers.
