As the RIS Newsletter goes to press I express special thanks
to the Parents Auxiliary of Ruamrudee International School.
Several of these parents united to sponsor the Grand Concert
held on February 26th to celebrate our School's 45th Anniversary.
These Parents love RIS. When they heard that we are planning
an expansion of RIS sports facilities on our new properties
they wanted to help. They arranged for this special Grand Concert
in Godbout Hall to raise funds. Mall to raise funds. Many of
their friends who also love RIS gave donations to help the cause.
This effort of the Parents Auxiliary brought a very substantial
support toward providing sporting facilities and help for the
poor. The whole community of RIS is very grateful to these wonderful
Parents.

On February 20,002, the Redemptorists completed the election of the new
RIS Board of Trustees. Several of these members are familiar to
you if you have been with RIS for a few years. This Board of Trustees
governs matters of the school's major developments and vision for
the future. The School Director is appointed by this Board. The
members of this new Board of Trustees are: Father Chuchart Srivichairatana,
Father Pone Nettham, Father Pichan Jaiseri, and Father Larry Patin.
I wish also to thank the many Committee members among the Administrators,
Teachers, Staff, Students, Parents, who shared their expertise to
prepare RIS for the renewal of Accreditation with the Western Schools
and Colleges of Birmigame, California. Seven educators approved
by WASC from America will visit RIS this March 17-21 to evaluate
how our RIS educational system reaches and affects the students
we are privileged to teach in Minburi.
Since the general theme of my letter today is one of "thanks",
I take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to all of you
for the cooperation you have extended to me as Director of RIS.
